TCQ Spa & Gym: Coronavirus updates

Following the UK Governments announcement and release of the road map on Monday 22nd February, we now understand how we will be able to re-open TCQ Spa & Gym facilities.  All dates will be subject to change, and we will be operating within a restrictive framework under the guidance of National Governing Bodies (NGB’s), UK Active and the UK Government.

    Step One – Monday 12th April 2021

    • All COVID-secure guidelines must be followed.
    • Indoor leisure including gyms to re-open for individual use only.
    • Indoor swimming pools to re-open for individual use.
    • Spas to re-open. (Excluding saunas and steam rooms)
    • Group exercise classes are not allowed.

Step Two – Monday 17th May

    • All Covid-secure guidelines must be followed.
    • Group exercise classes can resume. (Further information will be released when the level of restrictions is made clearer)
    • Saunas and steam rooms can re-open.

    Step Three – Monday 21st June 2021

    • All Covid-secure guidelines must be followed.
    • No legal limit on social contact.

Do I need to book to use the facilities?

Yes, restrictions are still in place regarding maximum capacity in each area to ensure social distancing is being adhered to. We have implemented a new gym management system, “Club Right”, making it easier for you to book. We have contacted all existing members regarding this change and if you need any support with registering please do not hesitate to contact us.

You must register before returning to use the facilities to be able to book online and via phone.

You can register by following this link https://somerdalepaviliontrust.clubright.co.uk/register.

What will happen with my membership and payments?

As we were unable to stop payments on 1st January 2021 due to the late announcement, upon re-opening we will not take payment for the first month, so you do not have to worry about being overcharged. The first payment for our members will be taken on 4th May 2021. Payments after this will be taken on the 1st of the month.

For those members who we did not receive payment from in January 2021, you will have payment taken on Monday 12th April 2021.

For all our annual pre-paid members, we will extend your membership for the length of time that the Somerdale Pavilion remained closed.

How do I contact the team regarding my membership and payments?

Our team will be on flexible furlough as we begin to re-open, therefore phones will not always be manned.

If you wish to speak with us regarding your membership, please email info@somerdalepavilion.org.uk and we aim to respond within 7-10 working days.

We aim to re-open our operations in the safest possible manner, keeping the health and safety of our members and staff as the top priority.  As we work through the phases together, we ask that the following temporary measures are always respected:

    1. Social Distancing guidelines are always followed.
    2. Face masks/coverings are always worn when inside the facilities (excluding the gym and spa areas).
    3. Gym and organised outdoor sports users arrive ‘ready-to-play as changing rooms will not be available during phase one.

We will continue to update our website and social media pages with changes to our re-opening plan. We will also work closely with all sports sections returning to ensure that all NGB guidelines are being followed during each phase.

Thank you for your patience and understanding through this difficult time and we look forward to welcoming you back.

    WORKING TOGETHER

These are difficult times and we need to work together. In order to respect our new procedures and protect your own safety and that of others, we ask that you:

We are really looking forward to welcoming you back to The Chocolate Quarter Spa and Gym.
