Rolling countryside, open spaces and first-class access to road and rail networks. That’s why Cecil Fry chose Keynsham Hams as the site for his new factory back in 1922.
First under the name of J.S. Fry and Sons, and then Cadbury’s, the Somerdale factory produced some of the nation’s favourite confectionery for over 80 years. In its heyday everything from Crunchies and Picnics to Turkish Delight and Curly Wurly bars were manufactured here, making up a total of 57,000 tonnes of chocolate every year.
